Collaborative Housing is recruiting for two new roles!
Collaborative Housing is a comprehensive support Hub for community-led housing groups (e.g. community land trusts, co-operatives, co-housing, self-help housing, collective self-build, collective custom-build). We offer all the support necessary to take a group from initial concept to homes on the ground. The Hub is hosted by Community First Oxfordshire and supports groups across the Thames Valley (Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire).
We are recruiting for two posts: a Communities Lead and a Land and Property Lead.
21 hours per week. £32,000 per annum pro rata. 18 months (with possibility of extension).
This person will focus primarily on promoting and facilitating the development of community-led housing and providing advice, support and technical assistance to groups involved in community-led housing projects. The role will include exploring creative ways to demonstrate the benefits of CLH in the pursuit of building a strong profile for community leadership within housing development.
We are seeking someone with a range of skills, a flexible approach to self-organisation and an ability to multi-task. You will have great communication skills and be diplomatic, with an ability to take the initiative when opportunities arise. Training and support will be offered.
Land and Property Lead
14 hours per week. £32,000 per annum pro rata. 18 months (with possibility of extension).
The role will focus primarily on leading the Hub’s engagement with land and housing markets and promoting and facilitating development of the Hub in its incubation phase as it moves towards being a financially self-sustaining organisation. Employing creativity in building an ecosystem of support to allow CLH to thrive, they will identify diverse sites for development and, working closely with the Communities Lead, match site opportunities to group requirements. Opportunities might include taking on the affordable housing component of commercial developments, neighbourhood densification, conversion of empty properties, infill, exception sites, public land or charitable land.
